Top Ten Tuesday: Popular Authors I’ve Never Read

Charles Dickens:

I really want to read A Christmas Carol, but every time Christmas comes round, I’m always so busy and have never taken the time to.

Sarah Dessen: Honestly, I’m not sure why I haven’t read any of her books, because they look like my thing, but I’ve never gotten the great urge to buy them.

David Levithan: I now have Two Boys Kissing by him, so I will have read him soon. I think I’ll love it as well, as everyone’s reviews are beaming!

Dan Brown: Apparently The DaVinci Code is amazing. I would have no idea.

Libba Bray: I own Beauty Queens, and hopefully will read it soon. I also hear A Great and Terrible Beauty is awesome! So hopefully I will read that soon as well.

Stephen King: I saw the trailer for Carrie and thought it looked really good but generally, this kind of horror isn’t my thing.

George R. R. Martin: I have the first! I will get to it soon! Honest.

Ransom Riggs: I have the first and can’t wait to read it!

Rick Riordan: I simply haven’t gotten round to these, but they look amazing.

J. R. R. Tolkien: They’re just so big, and everyone says getting through The Lord of the Rings is so much effort!

I read Will Grayson Will Grayson and I loved it. It was the first book in a long time where the parents weren’t self-absorbed tools. I read the Hobbit, but I must confess that I loved The Lord of the Rings movies so much I didn’t want to read the books. I know, the book blogger gods are angry with me! I look forward to your review of any of these!

Oh jeez I know, why can’t teenagers have normal and loving parents for a change?! I want to read the Hobbit, but TLotR look so big and intimidating…haha, there are lots of people who haven’t read them so I wouldn’t worry!
