The other day I went out with my friends for some much needed sun and Ben and Jerry’s. Everyone has been going on holiday and having family stuff, so it was nice catching up, even if it was only part of our group. I’ve been wanting to improve my photography, but these were mainly for fun! Hope you enjoy them, and if you’ve had a bad week, I hope they make you smile. (Can we allappreciate Soph’s awesome Taylor Swift top).
Now for the books!
I received the manga version of Clockwork Princess from Piatkus. Thank you Clara! I’ve not read the next two in the series, I’ve only read Clockwork Angel, but hopefully I can speed through those and then read it! I have got a load of school books and general review books though, so this will go more on the backburner.
I have been wanting to read The Bone Season since before it was released, but I didn’t want to pay for the first released hardback and then it went to the back of my mind. However, I saw that and Days of Blood and Starlight for £2.20 together at my local charity shop. There’s no way I’m not buying that. I also received some books from Guardian, but I’ll save that for the haul coming your way next week
Above is my nails in Seventeen Colour Clash. I really love this, it’s kind of funky and interesting; not my usual pick, but Imma go with it. On the right is some Corn Silk powder. I am not a huge user of foundation, I just imagine it sinking into my pores and urgh. I use it sometimes, but when I do it’s fairly light and nothing too thick. I especially hate wearing it in the Summer, as it’s so hot, I sweat it off and it sinks into my skin, urgh, right? However, Summer also brings greasy face and the sweaty look. Corn Silk is making a comeback from the sixties and is a simple powder that mattes up your face and hopefully won’t block your pores as much. It is said to give the glow people are trying to achieve when taking selfies. IDK. If it isn’t too heavy and stops my face looking greasy, I’ll be grateful. My thoughts on those two will be coming up in a post later next week.
That’s some things I wanted to show you about my week, how was yours? I want to know, and I want to know what you’re reading as well!
